Team Building Activities

Teambuilding definitely works, and although staff can often be very dubious about the whole process, the fact remains that teambuilding is vital to get staff and keep on board. With this in mind it’s important to get your objectives and issues down on paper right from the outset, that way you are far more likely to put together an appropriate programme for your team. Above everything else your staff should feel valued, so it’s a good idea to take a hard look at your people before you drop them on a foggy mountainside - It’s also worth remembering laughter is an excellent cure for so many ills!
Ask yourself;

What do we want to get out of the day?
Generally, are people happy working here?
What type of people do we have i.e. average age, outgoing, quiet etc?
Are there any issues within the team?

.…and you begin to paint a picture of an event that will suit everyone. Some companies find that a day away from the phones racing quad bikes and clay pigeon shooting is just the ticket, whereas others prefer some more educational challenges. We have built our business on supplying all of this and more - including some extremely different activities. In fact the most popular corporate event we have is a mixture of educational team challenges during the morning followed by an afternoon of Quad biking, Buggy racing and Archery.
Please find below samples of two unique and very different activities to suit very different objectives;
AutoGymkhana – a simply hilarious half day event where teams race against each other in a full series of whacky games, somewhere between a pony club Gymkhana and It’s a Knockout in cars! This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon if you want to get out of the office and let your hair down, and the real beauty of this activity is that everyone is involved all of the time, without having to split into small groups. Suitable for 12-36 people at a time. Price guide from £89 per person + VAT
Survival Challenge – a fun educational scenario event. Again suited to a half day “survival” is based on a team of crack commandos crossing enemy territory, you’ll be faced with a succession of command tasks and challenges used by the military and rescue services. They are not physically demanding and therefore ideal for all ages and abilities. The key point is that it is impossible to complete any task as an individual, you will simply have to rely on your team mates. It involves planning, decision making and best use of your team resources & skills – just like the workplace! Suitable for 8–48 people at a time. Price guide from £59 per person + VAT

Both of the above are available either at our own venue in Kent or at a suitable venue of your choice (a large grass area at a Hotel or Conference centre is ideal) If you are considering a teambuilding event involving meetings, we are able to offer favourable rates at the Marriot Tudor Park Hotel, for both accommodation and conferencing (15 mins drive)

Spy – Another themed scenario event, works well at your own choice of conference venue, there is a spy in your organisation, passing information to competitors, your task is to overcome a series of tests to gain further clues in order to expose the culprit.
School Sports Day - It's just as you remember! This includes the egg and spoon race, wheelbarrow race, whacky relays, tunnel ball etc…ideal for an afternoon of hilarious fun and perfect for a large group.
Aviation Challenge - just like the TV series, Scrapheap Challenge. Compete against the other teams to build the best model flying machine from the materials provided. The winning team is the one that can fly their machine the furthest!
Rocket Science - build the best rocket from the equipment provided, and launch it against your competitors' attempts - You’ll be amazed how far you can make these fly!
Eggciting place to work! – Can your team design and produce a device or system to protect your egg, when it is dropped from a great height?
Egg blast off! – again on an egg theme, your team is given a selection of materials to build a catapult to launch your one and only egg the furthest, great fun and we’ll give you extra distance if the egg is caught!
Four-way Volleyball - 4 courts, 2 balls and four teams all playing together. Each team starts with 25 points and 2 rules - Keep the ball off the ground and don't hit it out! This is a knock out competition and the last team going wins. Entertainment for up to 40 people!
Human Table Football - a fantastic giant inflatable version of the popular table game, it's energetic, fun and guaranteed to have you in stitches!
All of the above are available at a venue of your choice or at our own venue in Kent. Some can be adapted for indoor events – perfect as a short “energizer” for your conference.
