Information & FAQsHow do I book an event, fun day or stag or hen day package?Email or call us to book your package. We know how difficult it is to pin down numbers a long time in advance of your party so our minimum requirement is that you have 8 people paid for 14 days prior to your day. After this, guests can pay right up to the start of the event. However, we need to be advised of any large changes to party numbers to ensure enough equipment and refreshments are on hand on the day!
What is included in the event?Everything you need to have a Whacky fun day! We provide all equipment for your activities and specialised instruction. We will supply appropriate ammunition, safety wear, waterproof gear (if the weather is bad) and £5,000,000 public liability insurance.
Chilled soft drinks and tea and coffee are provided throughout and at the end of the day a personalised trophy for the winner. In fact all you need to do is turn up wearing sensible clothing for an outdoor event!
How do we get a personalised trophy? On the day, you will all have practice and scoring sessions on each activity. These scores are collated and a winner will receive an engraved trophy. We do have standard inscription but at no extra charge we will put your choice of wording on the trophy. This needs to be with us a minimum of 14 days prior to your day in order for us to get the engraving done, and please ... keep it clean!!
If you are splitting our party into groups does this mean we will be separated?
No, we try as far as possible to keep parties together and we certainly won't mix your guests with other parties. If, for example, you were going to have quads and pilots as your choice of activities, you would have a base, normally a mini marquee with quads running out of one side and pilots running out of the other side. Therefore, when you are not out on a quad or in a pilot you will all be together. It is not always possible but you will never be far away from you friends.
How long do we actually get on the activities? Each activity will last for approximately one hour.
For safety reasons and also so that you get the most enjoyment out of your activity we run an absolute maximum of ten people per activity. Therefore, if there are 12 of you then we would split you into 2 groups and rotate through the activities. This is purely to ensure a full programme for everyone. It doesn't mean you will be behind the wheel for a whole hour, as most of what we do is fairly physical, but you will definitely have plenty time where it counts. For example, a quad biking session will give you around 30 minutes actually on the bike.
How do we get to the Whacky Sports Venue? We are based in Kent and only about 1 hour from London by car or train. By RoadThe venue is near Maidstone; we are located around 10 minutes from junction 8 of the M20 Motorway, near Leeds Castle. By Rail
If you are travelling from London, there is a direct line from Waterloo East and Charing Cross to Headcorn Station which is three miles from the Whacky venue. We operate a free shuttle service to and from the station which means all you have to do is hop on a train and make sure you get off at Headcorn; and we'll take care of the rest! Is there anywhere locally we can get a beer immediately afterwards?Absolutely. Our nearest town is 3 miles away and has an excellent open all day pub which incidentally is only a couple of minutes walk from the train station. We also have an excellent pub less than half a mile away, although not open all day it's a great stop off if you have a morning session with us. If you have travelled by train and taken advantage of our shuttle bus, we can drop you at the pub for a couple of beers and/or a meal before you hop back on the train. Unsurprisingly most of our groups get dropped off here!
How close are we to nearest town or city? There are 2 major towns nearby, both within 20 minutes. Maidstone is the closest and there plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs to carry your stag and hen day through into the night! The other is Ashford which is a fast growing town, again with plenty of nightlife. Canterbury is slightly further away, around 25 minutes drive, and it has a superb range of restaurants and bars.
